Life’s Lil’ Luxuries • Healdsburg Bath and Body

After a few derailments on getting a “My Favorite Things” segment of my blog going, I am ready to publish my first one.  My hope is that I can showcase some of my favorite things (or things that my brides would appreciate) on my blog.  I am going to try to keep the products local to Sonoma/Napa/Marin Counties.  So obviously, there might be more than a few blog postings on my favorite wineries:)  Just sayin’.

I am a pretty busy girl (who isn’t these days), so my schedule does not often allow for getting away for serious pampering.  That is why I love affordable little luxuries that can give me a sense of feeling spoiled.  The rich smelling soaps from Healdsburg Bath and Body make me feel indulgent without leaving the house.  These soaps are made with locally grown olive oil and botanicals.  The scents of HBB change with the seasons.  A great trivia fact about HBB is that the botanicals are grown at local elementary -school garden programs.  So not only am I purchasing a product that seems so luxurious, but I am also supporting my local community.  Gotta love that!  Healdsburg Bath and Body also carries sugar scrubs and nourishing lotions.

A little bit about their soaps:  Current soaps are Lavender Rosemary, Blackberry Sage, Lemongrass, Rosemary Mint, White Tea & Ginger, Pomegranate, Rose. New soaps for the summer will be Strawberry, Lilac and Plumeria.  All products are handmade in small batches to ensure quality and freshness.  Healdsburg Bath & Body also carry Signature Scents, which are scents that are available year round ~ Like, Lavender (my favorite).

And a great tie-in to my wedding-blog site is that Yen (the owner) also works with small B&Bs and vacation rentals with the guest size products. She is working on expanding her wedding favors creating specialized soaps and candles. At the time I realized that Healdsburg Bath & Body was going to my first “Favorite Things” blog, Yen was handmaking special orders for wineries, such as Medlock Ames and Benziger using the wineries’ own botanicals and olive oil to create customized Estate Products.

I’ve tried about all of Healdsburg Bath & Body’s products, and the creature of habit that I am, I still love the Lavender (but the Rose scent is great, too).  The sugar scrub wins out for me, though.  I know this is going to sound like a total infomercial, but my skin was so soft and silky (told you it would sound cheesy).

Next time you’re in the sweet lil’ town of Healdsburg, stop by.

Take a look at Healdsburg Bath & Body’s Facebook page.  Yen is great about keeping her followers current on the scents available in the store, and also giving a heads-up to any sales or promotions happening.
